Imiquimod Cream 5% Aldara Cream® Pregnancy: B; Lactation: Unk
Cream 5%: 250 mg single use packets in box of 12 packets. |
Adult: Apply with finger to the warts at bedtime three times a week. Gently rub in until cream is no longer visible. Leave on 6-10 hours during sleeping hours, and then gently wash area with soap and water. Continue until all warts have cleared or up to 16 weeks. Wash hands before and after application.
Important side effects: Itching and burning. Erythema is common. Pain, erosions, ulceration, headache. Fungal infection. May take a rest period if needed to allow discomfort to subside.
May weaken latex condoms and diaphragms. Concurrent use is not recommended.
Caution: Avoid sexual contact while cream is on skin.
