Tabs: 250 mg, 600 mg Z-Pak = 250 mg tabs Tri-Pak = 500 mg Tabs
Oral Susp: 100 mg/5 mL 200 mg/5 mL 1-g packet

Children: Acute otitis media/community-acquired pneumonia in children ≥6 months:
10 mg/kg (NTE 500 mg) once on the first day, followed by 5 mg/kg/day (NTE 250 mg) on days 2-5.
Pharyngitis/tonsillitis in children ≥2 years: 12 mg/kg/day (NTE 500 mg) daily for 5 days.
Adult: Dispense Z-Pak. Review specific disease states for dosing in sexually transmitted diseases and MAC.
Food: Oral suspension should be taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after food. Tablets may be taken without regard to food. |
