Oral Troche Children ≥3 years and Adults: Dissolve one troche in mouth slowly (15-30 minutes) 5 times daily for 7-10 days or until 2-3 days after symptoms cleared.
Important side effects: Nausea, unpleasant sensation in mouth, elevated LFTs.
Use with caution in liver disease.
Vaginal Products Adolescents and Adult - vaginal tablet: 100 mg tablet intravaginally at bedtime × 7 days or 200 mg tablet intravaginally at bedtime × 3 days or 500 mg tablet intravaginally at bedtime once.
Adolescent and Adult - vaginal cream: One applicator intravaginally at bedtime × 7 days. Remain lying down for 30 minutes after application. Avoid intercourse during therapy. Do not use tampons until therapy is complete. Cream or vaginal tablets may weaken latex condoms and diaphragms. Important side effects: Rash, burning, irritation, cramping.
Topical Products Gently massage into affected area two times daily after washing and drying. Relief of pruritus usually occurs within 1 week. If no clinical improvement after 4 weeks, reevaluate. Important side effects: Local irritation. Caution: Avoid contact with eye(s). |
