Permethrin (OTC) (Nix Cream Rinse® 1%) Pregnancy: B; Lactation: Topical Okay
Cream Rinse 1% Cream 5% (Rx Only): For scabies only. |
Children >2 months: Rinse: Wash hair, towel dry, saturate hair with Nix, and rinse after 10 minutes. Remove remaining nits with nit comb. One treatment eliminates infestations. Repeat only if live lice are seen after 7 days. Wash bedding and all clothing in hot water. Vacuum furniture and dispose of bag.

Important side effects: Mild temporary itching or erythema. Avoid contact with mucous membranes. Contraindicated if allergic to chrysanthemum flower. |

Child > 6 mo old / Adult:
Apply to dry hair and saturate the scalp. Leave on for 10 min and rinse. Repeat in 7 days.

Ivermectin Lotion 0.5% (Sklice)

Apply to dry scalp. Wash off after 10 min. Single use.
