Children: Rimantadine is only approved for prophylaxis in young children. However, experts consider it appropriate for treatment of influenza in children of all ages.

Mportant side effects: Nausea, vomiting, nervousness, anxiety. Use with caution on patients with history of seizure disorder, renal or hepatic disease. |
Children >13 or adults: 100 mg Q12H ´ 7 days.
Elderly: Reduce dose to 100 mg Q24H
