Mupirocin Bactroban^® Pregnancy: B; Lactation: Unk Ointment 2% Cream 2% Ointment, nasal 2%

Children and adult: Apply cream or ointment to affected area three times daily. Nasal: Apply half of each 1-g tube to each nostril two times daily for 5 days. After application, press together sides of nostrils and release, repeating for 1 minute to spread ointment. Important side effects: Burning, stinging, itching, headache. Nasal: rhinitis, upper respiratory congestion, pharyngitis, taste perversion.
